Beatrijs van Rheeden Sculptor

I am a sculptor, and I work with porcelain.
This is the material that challenges and inspires me.
I have always expressed myself through abstract form in which rithme and repetition are important factors.
I am internationally oriented ever since I finished my studies in Hungary at the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemet, where I have returned for Symposia several times.
The European Ceramics Award was last awarded in 2009, and I got the first prize for Sculptural Ceramics at that time.

Next to my passion for porcelain, I find a challenge in form combined with the functionality of seating.

Porcelain Pinching

Coming up in June I will teach a workshop porcelain pinching at the Bosener Mühle at the Bostalsee. There are still some places to be had.
I will show you how to make those very fragile structures, and how to put them together.

The workshop is from Friday 8th till Sunday 10th March.
